Times to visit the hill country of Texas are open all year, depending on an individual's tolerance of weather. Climate extremes are not as prominent here compared to many other places and most visitors to the area will find it accommodating. Precipitation

 

Due to its geographic location being in the southern United States and being of slightly higher elevation compared to the rest of the nation, the annual precipitation is lower in both rainfall and snow accumulation. The months with the highest average rainfall includes May and June at about 4 inches for each month, and again in the months of September and October at about 3 inches per month. Snowfall does occur in the winter months, but mostly in November and December in small amounts. In late November, visitors can enjoy events with antiques, crafts and handmade retail with a small entry fee. Christmas lighting events, outdoor ice skating, a Christmas parade, concerts and art walks light up Fredericksburg along with many more scheduled activities held annually.

With a relatively recent outbreak of the Zika virus, one country is seeking to aid others as they rush to control the contagion. China has decided to take action on the matter and aid Venezuela with a delivery of more than 90 tons of medical supplies to an airport in Vargas State, Venezuela. The delivery occurred on May 28, 2016, which will help aid those afflicted with cases of the Zika virus. Included in the shipment was intravenous (IV) fluids and an antibody immunoglobulin G not only used to treat the mosquito produced virus, but other disease afflictions as well. These much needed medical supplies are intended to be circulated around to the countries' hospitals for immediate use.

It boasts a panoramic Sky View and observatory and uses sustainable materials in its design such as wind and hydro power.
